• Account information — name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile identifiers. If you use email/password sign-in, your password is stored as a salted hash, never in plain text.
• Learning content you provide — the goals, preferences, and answers you share to generate courses, plus your notes, lesson progress, and comprehension-check results.
• Content generated for you — courses, lessons, and tutor conversations produced by our AI systems based on the above.
• Device and usage data — basic technical data such as IP address, browser/device type, and app interaction logs, used for security and reliability.
• Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications on the mobile app, we store a device token to deliver them.

How we use your information

• To create and personalize your courses, lessons, and tutor responses.
• To track your learning progress and show it back to you.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send account, progress, or product notifications you've opted into (email or push).
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties we use

We share data with a small number of service providers, only as needed to run micourse ai:

• OpenAI — processes your learning goals and profile to generate courses, lessons, and tutor answers.
• Amazon Web Services — hosts our application and database.
• Amazon SES — delivers transactional and notification emails, if enabled.
• Expo — delivers push notifications to the mobile app, if enabled.
• Google — provides optional sign-in via OAuth, if you choose it.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual notes and courses from within the app. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.

Your choices

• You can review and update your learning preferences from Settings at any time.
• You can turn email and push notifications on or off from Settings.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

micourse ai is intended for professional and adult learners and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
